• Visual Artist • Teaching Artist • Founder, Caron Designs

Lisa Caron Hickey is a visual and teaching artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans fiber arts, felting, collage, painting, fused glass, and illustration. Her work explores texture, color, and creative play—expressed through both finished artwork and hands-on creative experiences.

She has illustrated published children’s books and continues to develop new titles alongside her studio and teaching practice.

Born in Connecticut, Lisa relocated full-time to Vermont in 2024, where she continues to expand her studio practice and community-based teaching.

With over 20 years of experience as a teaching artist, Lisa has worked extensively in arts integration and community engagement. She is passionate about making creativity accessible to all ages, helping individuals step away from screens and reconnect with hands-on making.

Lisa is the founder of Caron Designs, a creative studio and product line focused on thoughtfully designed DIY craft kits and workshops. Her kits are developed to provide high-quality materials and an enjoyable creative experience without requiring a large investment, making art approachable for beginners and experienced makers alike.

Throughout her career, Lisa has taught in a wide range of settings, including schools, libraries, adult education programs, senior centers, and community organizations such as Girl Scouts and women’s groups. She currently teaches monthly workshops in her Vermont studio, along with private group sessions.
