Maddy Walsh, a senior at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is finishing her degree in Music Therapy. With her degree in Music Therapy, she plans to use music to improve people's quality of life. As a music therapist, she plans to use music and all of its facets—physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, and spiritual to help improve health and quality of life. Maddy’s dream has always been to help people through music. She is also a very talented flute (including piccolo, bass flute, and alto flute), guitar, piano, ukulele, mandolin, snare drum, floor tom, and voice musician that will meld together her talent with her degree.
Maddy Walsh doubles as a singer-songwriter and has released two CDs. Her first release is titled Green and includes Mini You; It’s Raining, Tomorrow is Just Another Yesterday, Friend without Benefits, I Hate It, Lemniscate, Masquerade, The Same Way, Transition, and Time.
Her second CD titled Forced Forsythia she recorded, mixed and mastered the entire album by herself. The CD includes Hey Black Cat, Thanks for Not Saying Hi, Interlude 1 – Don’t Wait, Delicate Storm, Princess of Nova Scotia, Everything is Fine, Know No, Alleyoop, Speak Up, and Interlude 2 - The Start Is the End.
